Alane Boyd, Co-Founder & President of Arvo, along with two other tech founders, took center stage at the Nashville Entrepreneur Center (EC) Thursday, August 25 over lunch at Panel & Pitch: Tech Edition! Sponsored by Dell for Startups and in partnership with Nashville Technology Council, the three Nashville tech founders were selected to present a 3-minute pitch, showcasing their innovative ideas for a chance to win a $1K cash prize, plus a co-working EC membership.

The three entrepreneurs pitching were (in alphabetical order by company):

Before pitches started, the founders and attendees of the Panel & Pitch event listened to a panel discussion with tech experts from Dell, Nissan, and GraphiteRX, moderated by President & CEO of the Nashville Technology Council, Elise Cambournac.

These business leaders were asked for their perspectives on Nashville’s entrepreneurial culture and hiring in middle Tennessee. Both Boyd and Zilberman, moved to the Nashville area from California because of its vibrant community, lower cost of living, and great pool of talent.

When Boyd was asked how she felt about the competition, she said,

“I feel like I’m living my best life. I was smiling the whole time. The 50+ person audience made up of business owners and investors selected me as the winner and that feels good.” -Alane Boyd, Co-Founder & President, Arvo
